Well-known and recognized for thick friendly vibes, wild dance floors, positive energy, and bringing world class DJs to NYC, SOUP is popular among people seeking the best in electronic music. In addition to playing host to top flight monthly guests such as Derrick Carter, Sneak, Doc Martin and the Dirtybird crew, SOUP has some of the most talented resident’s DJ’s the country has to offer. Love & Logic (Chris Love & AB Logic), Joe Pompeo, Chris Patrick, and vocalist Born I Music are just a few of the artists under the new SOUP music record label. SOUP crew members have releases on labels such as King Street Music & Green Velvet/Cajmere’s Cajual records. After years of playing to sold out crowds in the city and beyond, the SOUP crew has taken a residency at the notorious Cielo nightclub, where they host a monthly party alongside an illustrious list of guest DJ’s. SOUP’s eclectic mix of House, Techno and a colorful crowd, combined with Cielo’s perfect dance music atmosphere and an incredible Funktion One sound system, have all come together to create what is, without a doubt, one of finest House + Techno nights in America. They can also be seen regularly at other NYC area venues such as Output and TBA.

SOUP has deep roots in NYC; it was founded by nightlife icon Chris Love as one of many legendary events produced by Stuck On Earth. In the mid 90’s to early 2000’s, they were at the forefront of electronic music events; curating parties designed to bring together music connoisseurs who wanted to hear the best of all underground electronic dance music. SOUP and Stuck On Earth was responsible for bringing some of the biggest names in the world to the Empire City. A few marquee examples include UK legend Carl Cox, and Detroit’s Richie Hawtin & Juan Atkins, who created the name and sound that we currently call Techno. Even Andy Smith of Portishead graced the decks at SOUP while touring in the early years of the groups success. These world renowned House and Techno DJs inevitably shaped SOUP’s sound, leading to two decades of underground events.
